Where do you work and what do you do?

I’m an Account Executive at SquareGPS. I’m responsible for inbound and outbound sales in various regions such as the Middle East and Africa. I help our customers with learning our tracking app and GPS tracker products and work on commercial and legal questions.

What does your typical workday look like? How would you describe your role?

A typical workday consists of a lot of emails (regular follow-ups and new customers KYC or ‘know your customer calls) and meetings with potential and current partners. There are also internal meetings to discuss customer use cases, software updates, and training with the team.

What made you apply to SquareGPS/Navixy?

Initially what made me apply for this job is the goal of this company to grow and reach higher goals, I saw that as a nice challenge for me. Also, the opportunity to use English was a nice addition for me since I didn’t use it before.

What do you love about your job?

I just love when everything works. The best part is to make our customers happy with the product and help them reach their goals. Also, I like to work with various regions and learn more about different cultures and traditions.

Any particular methods you use to stay productive and successful in your role?

I like to follow my schedule with everything. I schedule my tasks, emails, calls, and meetings and never stop until everything’s done. Maybe besides lunch, I always reschedule it for some reason.

What advice do you have for inspiring tech and telematics professionals?

Be ready to face challenges and learn a lot of new things. Try, then fail, then try again and win. Be open-minded and don’t ever be afraid to ask questions even if you think they are stupid.

What do you love outside of work?

I love music and learn a lot about how it works. I play guitar, listen to various genres of music, and also created a few tracks and even songs with my friends.

I also love to learn a lot about movies, how it is created behind the scenes, special effects and the work of stuntmen, etc.

In my free time, I play video games with my friends, walk a lot when the weather is sunny and visit the gym

What are some things you have enjoyed learning or your favorite accomplishments?

I like to learn new things about our products from a technical standpoint, talking a lot with our technical team so I could share more information with our potential and existing customers by myself. I also like to learn new approaches in sales so I am always open to books and articles and recommendations related to this topic.

Right after I finished university I moved to Moscow from Siberia alone which is a nice accomplishment. I managed to stay here, started to travel, made a lot of friends, and gained a lot of knowledge and skills in sales. And also music, I found a lot of talented people to work with!

Keep up the great work, Paul! To learn more about the work we do at Navixy, follow us on Linkedin, Twitter, and Facebook.
