Scout devices are supported in NAVIXY

NAVIXY Server now supports Scout devices. ScoutOpen communication protocol was implemented, including reading all telemetry data and outputs remote control.

Currently the following devices use ScoutOpen protocol:

  • MT-600 PRO OPEN, starting from firmware 6.x
  • MT-600 PRO 285, starting from firmware 8.x

ScoutOpen is an alternative to proprietary communication protocol between devices and native Scout server. The open protocol implies basic data exchange, and it is now fully supported in NAVIXY Server.

ScoutOpen protocol does not provide the possibility to control the device over GPRS channel. The only way to configure the device and change its outputs state remotely is SMS channel. These SMS commands have to be sent from authorized phone numbers – the ones, which appropriately set using configuration utility.

Bering that in mind, we recommend to setup the device with using configuration utility. It is required to define APN settings, server address and port and select ScoutOpen protocol.
