November 2020

Mobile applications

Released a new version of X-GPS Tracker mobile application for iOS:

  • Added Places to the menu panel. The application will show the list of places for which an employee has been assigned to. Users are allowed to work with custom (additional) fields as well.
  • Added the ability to view points on the map in the Track log.
  • Implemented full support for iOS 14.
  • Optimized the application architecture for improved efficiency.

Admin Panel

  • Added the ability to include comments to users and trackers profiles.

Developer Hub

Major improvements:

  • Added an optional count parameter to the zone_point / list API call. This will allow developers to limit the number of points retrieved from a specific geofence, as well as speed up the processing of the request.
  • Introduced a new method, allowing developers to receive the latest values of the tracker's counters at once.
  • Added an optional point_limit parameter for the track_download API call. Applying this parameter helps to reduce the number of points within the track. This will optimize the track file size and will adapt it for processing by third-party map services.
  • Added new tracker and zone entities for the tag object. This will allow developers to quickly find the necessary tracker or geofence by using tags specified in the relevant API call.

Section updates:

Updated all articles in the Field service section. In these articles, the developers will find information about using the API for employees, places, tasks, forms, etc.
