GIS tools for telematics and spatial asset control

Navixy offers advanced GIS capabilities to build spatial context around assets, fleets, and field operations. The platform supports integration with a wide range of geographic information systems (GIS), including Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, Mapbox, and custom tile servers. It also enables businesses to integrate their proprietary GIS environments for maximum control and flexibility.

Geospatial data in the Navixy telematics platform is enriched with location intelligence – such as administrative boundaries, addresses, tagged assets, and Points of Interest – transforming raw coordinates into actionable insights. The system also includes built-in geocoding, reverse geocoding, and distance matrix calculations to support efficient routing, and location-based analytics.

The platform's GIS engine is designed for full compatibility with both public and private map services, and also supports LBS/Cell ID positioning as a fallback in GPS-limited environments, ensuring consistent asset visibility even indoors or in remote areas.

Geofences

Create and manage virtual zones of any shape or size on the map to represent operational areas such as warehouses, offices, delivery regions, restricted zones, or routes. Navixy detects when tracked assets enter or exit geofences and generates real-time events. Geofences can be linked to specific assets and configured for precise movement control and alerting.

Points of Interest (POIs)

Create and manage important map locations linked to coordinates such as customer addresses, fuel stations, service centers, or route checkpoints within the Navixy interface. POIs help operators navigate quickly, support dispatching workflows, and enhance map readability.

Custom map layers

Easily overlay custom geospatial data on top of base maps in Navixy using formats like KML. Users can display internal facility layouts, operational zones, or other domain-specific data using either public services or private tile servers.
