Digital Matter G52S

Location and tracking

Digital Matter G52S is embedded with GPS, and has the support of GLONASS system as well.

The G52S AssistNow Offline feature is aiding data for extremely fast time-to-first-fix and performance in urban canyon environments. GPS signals are boosted by a special low-noise amplifier (LNA). This allows the G52S to operate where normal units will fail to receive GPS signal.

Mobile networks

The G52S can be manufactured for specific markets around the world with cellular modem modules approved by all the major networks – 2G or 3G.

Power supply

External power supply might be 9V to 24V, which makes possible to install the G52S both on cars and vans.

The standard 800 mAh LiPo backup battery allows the G52S to operate when external power is removed for up to 5 days, depending on the amount of movement.

The G52S can provide power to external peripherals via the 5V power line, allowing sensors and peripheral devices to be powered.

Inputs and outputs

There are following interfaces available:

• Inputs:
  • 1 x Ignition line
  • 1 x digital inputs permanently pulled-down
• Outputs:
  • 1 x switched ground digital output, easily wired up to switch external lights, relays, buzzers, sirens, motors and other devices
• Other:
  • Digital Matter has the ability to connect a range of peripherals via the DMCAN peripheral port. Peripherals such as the AgriCAN expansion board can be used with the G52S.

Local and remote management

The G52S is configured only with the help of manufacturer’s server. No automatic activation is available.
