Task performance

Description

This feature is well-suited for companies of all sizes, whether they have a large number of employees working remotely or a smaller team. By using this rule, users can effectively manage and control the task completion process and stay informed about submitted forms. The system will promptly notify you about these events through SMS, email, push notifications on the "X-GPS Monitor" mobile application or in the web user interface.

To efficiently manage a team of field employees, create a rule for each employee (tracker) to monitor task completion, failures, arrivals, and delays. Generate comprehensive reports to analyze task event statistics over time, facilitating better decision-making.

Task performance

In this section, the user specifies what events they would like to receive notifications of. For example, if the user needs to control delays and form submissions of the tasks only, they may select the respective options to be notified of. This can assist companies in mitigating failures when dealing with delivery, service workers, drivers, patrolling, and other related tasks.

Each status represented here is controlled by tasks that the employees can be bound to. In turn, statuses are depended on the periods of the tasks' settings. To learn more about tasks and their statuses, please refer to the Tasks article.

Geofence:

Fill out the section if the rule needs to work only inside/outside of the selected geofences.

Bind zone to rule:

Enables geofence rule binding.

Map button:

Shows bound geofences on the map.

The platform specifics

  • The "Task performance" alert has no reset timer, meaning the alert event will occur every time a Task performance event comes in. This is different in comparison to many other rules of the platform which have the reset timer.
  • This rule is a generic type that is not specific to any particular hardware, which means it can be applied to multiple trackers simultaneously. This allows for the selection of several trackers within a single rule.

Notifications

Emergency notification:

is used for important events. A message on the screen and the sound signal can only be disabled by clicking on the notification. Please note, some browsers can block notification sound until user activity is recorded on the page.

Push notifications:

Receive push notifications on the mobile app and web interface.

Add geofence name to the notification:

Adds names of the specified geofences to the notification text. This option is available only when the "Inside" geofence binding radio button is selected on the "Settings" tab.

SMS notifications:

List of recipients for SMS notifications when the event occurs.

Email notifications:

List of recipients for email notifications when the event occurs.

Schedule

Set a schedule for when the rule will run. If your schedule indicates that the event should not run some day or time period, it will not appear as a notification in the user interface, and notifications via SMS or email will not be sent. Additionally, you can choose a default template for quick scheduling.

Event reports

To view the dates when the events were received, you can build the "Task Report" report.

It is very useful for viewing over time when and what task status events occurred in the context of analysis and monitoring.
