# Tracker's working status list

Assign a working status list to a tracker, or remove the assignment.

This operation links a tracker to a [working status list](/docs/navixy-api/user-api/resources/tracking/status/listing.md), which is what makes any working status available to that tracker at all. A tracker with no list assigned has no statuses it can be set to.

Omit `listing_id` entirely to remove the assignment rather than change it.

## API actions

API base path: `/status/listing/tracker`.

***

*Required sub-user rights:* `tracker_update`.

## Assign working status list to tracker

> Assign a working status list to a tracker, or remove the assignment.\
> \
> \*\*Omit \`listing\_id\` entirely to remove the assignment.\*\* A tracker with no list assigned has no working statuses available to it.\
> \
> Not allowed for clones. Requires the \`tracker\_update\` right. Requires the \`statuses\` tariff feature on at least one tracker. Without it the call returns error 236.\
> \
> Also accepts GET with the same parameters as query-string values.

#### Errors

These errors come in addition to the [general error codes](/docs/navixy-api/general/errors.md#error-codes):

* 201 - Not found in the database, when the authorized user has no tracker with the given ID.
* 204 - Entity not found, when no working status list has the given ID.
* 208 - Device blocked, when the tracker exists but is blocked, whether by tariff restrictions or for another reason.
* 219 - Not allowed for clones of the device, when the given tracker is a clone.
* 236 - Feature unavailable due to tariff restrictions, when no tracker on the account has the `statuses` tariff feature.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://navixy.com/docs/navixy-api/user-api/resources/tracking/status/listing/tracker.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
